Detailed 8 Days Kenya Safari Holiday
Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi & Transfer to Maasai Mara National Park
You will be warmly ushered in by our professional safari representative upon arrival, and be given the necessary briefing before you begin your journey from Nairobi, the “place of cool waters” in the Maasai language. Head to Maasai Mara Game Reserve which is Kenya’s best game viewing spot due to the nature and concentration of wild animals found here.
Our lunch will be at Ilkeliani Tented Camp which is patched on a river glade in an area where elephants love to come and drink from the Talek River. This will give you an opportunity to see how elephants interact when they meet as many happen to reunite with long-lost family relatives.
After a warm welcome and delightful lunch, we will embark on a game drive with our driver guide in Maasai Mara, the ancestral home to the Maasai people, dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 2 of 8 Days Kenya Safari Holiday: Full day activities – game drive and Culture
A lot of adventure lies ahead of you on this day. You will start your day with morning breakfast before you set off to enjoy game drives in the Maasai Mara game reserve that will include a visit to the Mara River. Where thousands of wildebeests and zebras are attacked by crocodiles as they attempt to cross this mighty river during the annual migration between Tanzania and Kenya.
This phenomenon entirely depends on the seasons as they migrate during the rainy season. Therefore the position of these mighty animals depends on the rains at the time you are visiting but your guide will know where to find them as he is well versed with their movements.
The annual migration sees over a million wild animals moving from Serengeti National Park in Northern Tanzania to Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. A chance to meet the traditional Maasai people, interactions and cultural exposure is very evident. You will wind up your day with dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 3 of 8 Days Kenya Safari Holiday: Transfer to – Lake Nakuru National Park – Full day activities
You will be served breakfast followed by a sunrise drive to the picturesque Great Rift Valley arriving in time for lunch at Flamingo Hill Camp located at the entrance of Lake Nakuru National Park which is home to an incredible variety of bird species. Every bird enthusiast will love this experience!
This afternoon you will enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park where you will get to see plenty of wildlife including all the famous “Big 5”. You will then retreat for dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Day 4: Transfer to – Amboseli National Park – Evening game activities
You will have your breakfast at leisure; depart for Amboseli National Reserve arriving in time for lunch at Kibo Safari camp which enjoys a uniquely privileged position at the heart of this world-famous national reserve providing very clear and uninterrupted views of Mount Kilimanjaro with its stunning snow-capped peak. Later in the afternoon, you will head out for a game drive and return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 5: Game – Amboseli – Full day game Activities
This day is reserved for a comprehensive game expedition as you take cool drives in this magnificent national park located at the foot of Africa’s tallest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro.
Amboseli comprises groves of acacia trees and golden savanna plains. Close by are a series of emerald green swamps, which are fed by the melting snows of Kilimanjaro providing sources of water to huge numbers of wallowing elephants, hippos, buffaloes, and plains game. You will then have your dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

Day 6: Early start – breakfast – Taita Hills– Lunch/Dinner – overnight
Early breakfast then departs for Tsavo West National Park in search of more wildlife experience that will include a visit to Mzima Springs. Tsavo West National Park supports all the members of a variety of animal and bird species including the country’s largest elephant population.
Mzima Springs comprises four natural springs and is one of Tsavo’s most popular wildlife attractions owing to its resident populations of hippos and Nile crocodiles and numerous bird species. Later, I drove to Taita Hills arriving at Sarova Salt Lick Lodge late in the afternoon for dinner and an overnight game viewing experience at Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge.
Main Destination: Tsavo West National Park

Day 7: Transfer to Tsavo East National Park – Evening Game Activities
You will kick start your day with an early game drive in Taita Hills Private Wildlife Sanctuary to explore the spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro in the background together with its wildlife and other ecological niches found within. You will then drive back to the park for breakfast and drive to Tsavo East National Park arriving in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive in Tsavo East, Kenya’s largest national park and a terrific wildlife-watching destination. Although one of Kenya’s largest rivers flows through the middle of the park, the landscape here is flatter and drier as it lies on the leeward side of mountain Kilimanjaro. You will then have your dinner and overnight stay at the camp as you finalize your day.

Day 8 of 8 Days Kenya Safari Holiday: Breakfast, start off for Nairobi (City)
You will start your day with a morning breakfast meal at the lodge. You will enjoy a whole morning game drive in Tsavo East National Park and explore untouched wilderness which is home to a big variety of wildlife.
After lunch, you will be dropped at VOI Train Station for the Express SGR train journey back to Nairobi arriving in the evening. You will be picked from SGR Train Station and transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your departure flight.
